If you’re a Dividend Investor and are looking to add a few stocks to your portfolio that will pay you in the months of January, April, July & October – stick around we’re going to give you a couple to check out (7 to be exact 👍).
The cool thing about investing in individual stocks is that not all companies pay their dividends in the same months.
Typically, companies that pay in January will also pay in April, July, and October. This may vary between companies, but this is the typical schedule.
To get things started here are some of our favorites:
- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TSM)
- Cisco (CSCO)
- Walmart (WMT)
- Cardinal Health (CAH)
- Pepsi (PEP)
- Medtronic (MDT)
- Automatic Data Processing (ADP)
In our opinion, these are solid companies that we feel comfortable with investing in. However, just because they pay in a particular month, doesn’t mean you should invest into them over other companies. Make sure you understand what the company is and you’re comfortable with investing into them regardless of what month their dividend schedule is. Because do keep in mind, companies can always change their dividend schedules as things could change in their businesses. Not very common, but still possible that things could change with their management and agenda or strategies could change. Lastly, companies can even cut dividends – which can and has happened often in the past, so that’s definitely something else to always keep in mind.
